Yes! About 99% of people attend Six Degrees events solo and are always happy they did. It can be tough to put yourself out there, but we try to foster an inclusive environment where the vibes are just right.

Short answer: No. Long Answer: Our happy hours are our flagship event series and was created exclusively for women to meet other women. Through this event and our professional (ish) networking series, we wanted to give women a safe space to grow their social and professional networks. However, all other events are open to people of all genders.

There is a good mix of transplants and born and bred New Yorkers that attend events. About 70% of overall attendees are from out-of-state who are looking to make new friends in NYC while 30% are born and bred New Yorkers who are looking to expand their current social circle or make a new friend group entirely, separate from those they have grown up with in the city.

A majority of the Six Degrees community resides in Brooklyn! However, we get people from all over the the boroughs with a lot who reside in the Bronx and Manhattan. We do get some people that travel in from the suburbs of Long Island and Upstate New York as well as Jersey City/Hoboken and Connecticut!

Unless otherwise stated on the individual ticket page, ticket refunds will be honored up to 24 hours prior to the event if requested through the refund link available in your confirmation email or via email with the relevant ticket information. Dms and texts will not be honored. No exceptions.
